If I wanted to take over American education, what would I do?
First, I would make sure that I could dictate the school rating system (SB 410 2012).
I would make sure everyone takes the same tests and give extra points to whoever I wanted, for whatever I wanted.
I would control how teachers and principals are evaluated, based on what I wanted done.
I would own the copyright on all of it.
I would pass laws to make it all digital so I could charge “rent” when people use them (SB 89, 2015).
I would change my rating system whenever I wanted to.
I would pretend to be the good guy, coming to save the schools.
I would appoint people to be in charge, no more elections.
If the constitution got in my way, I would change it.
I would make parents, teachers, and local school boards look dumb.
This is what has happened.
To stop it, vote no on Amendment 1 in November. Keep our Constitution. Put parents back in charge.
