Peachtree City Rotary Community Corps will work again this year to provide a second service dog to a deserving veteran through Healing4Heroes. The dog will help a vet suffering from traumatic brain injury and PSTD live a better life.
Rotary Community Corps is a unique part of the Rotary Club of Peachtree City in that all the members are special-needs adults. This group’s main purpose is to give back to the community by doing meaningful service projects.
Rotary Community Corps Club President Michael Crofton announced the plans at the September meeting at Mimi’s Good Food in Peachtree City.
“We will be conducting two fundraisers again this year,” he said. “First, we will be selling hot dogs, chips and drinks at this year’s International Festival and Dragon Boat Races Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Second, we will be selling Christmas holiday greenery again this year provided by Sherwood Forest Farms located in the state of Washington.”
Last year, customers raved over the quality and fresh scent of the wreaths, door swags and centerpieces. All the products are Noble fir and Western Cedar, fresh from the forests of the Pacific Northwest near Mt. Rainier.
Hot dogs will be available during the Dragon Boat Races Saturday, Sept. 24. at Drake Field.
Weekend greenery sales begin Oct. 15 at Mimi’s Good Food, 305 Kelly Drive in Peachtree City.
