Barbara (Schultz) Hughes, 84, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on August 29, 2016.
Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 18,1932. She graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1949.
Barbara retired in 1990 as manager of the Marine Corp Base, Security Pacific National Bank in Twenty Nine Palms California. She enjoyed traveling, ocean cruises, gardening, RV’ing, and sewing. Her legacy in life was to make everyone she knew feel loved and valued.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tom Hughes, son, Tom Jr., son, Douglas (Nita) 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and daughter Kimber McDermid (Gary), grandchildren Jennifer Toolan (Michael), Joseph McDermid(Jackie) and great-grandson, Max.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
The family would especially like to thank Maria Yurkic and her family, the members of Amedisys and Bridgeway Hospice and the many wonderful caregivers over the years for their love and devotion.
