With the July 4 festivities approaching, Peachtree City officials stated again this week that city code prohibits leaving anything (vehicles, boats, blankets, or other private property) in parks or in the public right-of-way overnight.
The code also prohibits erecting tents, barricades, and installing stakes in the right-of way or parks.
This also applies to the July 4 events.
No stakes, canopies, barricades or tents are allowed at all. No blankets or other items can be placed out until dawn (6:03 a.m.) on the morning of the parade. Unattended items can removed, impounded, sold, or disposed of as trash.
