Students in charge of teachers in SB 364

I have to be truthful, 100 percent of the time. I know that God judges us ultimately in the end.

The Lindsey Tippins’ bill, SB 364, which [state School Superintendent] Richard Woods supports, is serving only to implement the Common Core program even more.

That is because it gives authority over teacher professional development to the people behind the Common Core curriculum, namely the INTASC standards creators, the Council of Chief State School Officers and the National Governor’s Association.

The “growth” of the teachers, supported by the Common Core professional development model, does not mean actual growth. It means the teachers have shown progress in advancing in the INTASC standards for teachers.

These standards put the students in charge of the classroom rather than the teacher. The less teachers actually teach, the more “growth” they show.

This bill is a move in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, they may not realize it until it is too late, like all the other Common Core schemes. Praying for the truth to be revealed, quickly, before it is too late.
