A proposal to add a multi-purpose building on the campus of Peachtree City United Methodist Church on Robinson Road received unanimous approval on March 14 from the Peachtree City Planning Commission.
The two-story multi-purpose building will total 23,780 sq. ft. and will be situated adjacent to the sanctuary building. The two buildings will be connected by an enclosed mezzanine.
Situated on nearly 63 acres and fronting Robinson Road, parking for the church will be maintained at the current 469 spaces.
The proposal was approved as presented by unanimous vote.
The multi-purpose building is part of the church’s master plan approved in 1999.
Also at the meeting, commissioners unanimously approved the conceptual site plan and elevations for an office expansion at Hoshizaki America in the Peachtree City Industrial Park on Ga. Highway 74 South.
Plans called for the addition of a 26,712 sq. ft. office building with an architectural design to compliment the existing 229,990 sq. ft. building. Included in the plans was the addition of a net gain of 35 parking spaces.
The office complex is situated on 45.6 acres.
