Rod Roddenbery, 64, of Peachtree City passed away February 17, 2016.
He was an avid enjoyer of the outdoors especially spending his time fishing at the local fishing holes and down at his favorite spots on St. George Island. Rod was always watching and supporting the Cairo Syrupmakers especially out on the gridiron. Rod worked at Target but truly enjoyed his time as a substitute teacher with the Fayette County school system and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Rod was preceded in death by his father, Julien Bostwick Jr, and his brother, Albert Roddenbery.
He is survived by his wife Ginger Roddenbery of Peachtree City; his mother Margarett Roddenbery of Cairo; his son Jim Roddenbery of Statesboro; his daughter Nicole Roddenbery of Hartwell; his daughter Ashley Galunas and her husband Joe of Roswell; his sister Rebecca Cline of Cairo and his brother Hansell Roddenbery and his wife Tina of Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, swchristiancare.org.
