During a Feb. 8 meeting Fayette County Post 105 of The American Legion will present the Vietnam War Certificate of Honor to legionnaires for their service during the Vietnam War.

Last March the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and the Office of Gov. Nathan Deal created this program to honor Georgia veterans with honorable service with this certificate and service pin.

The certificates will be officially presented by state Sen. Marty Harbin (R-Tyrone) and Brian Zeringue, Public Information Officer of the Department of Veterans Service.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the historic Log Cabin, 180 S. Glynn St. in Fayetteville.
