Fayetteville Main Street announced this week that the Fayette Fine Art Show will be on hiatus until various groups involved with the event are able to “recraft the show in the future.”
The show has been a part of the community for 47 years and officials called it “a signature event for our city, drawing artists and patrons from across the region.”
However, in recent the volunteer committee coordinating the show has had difficulty bringing together enough help within the community to keep it running at its best, according to a statement.
To continue a show of support for local art students, Main Street will showcase their work at the annual Taste of Fayette, with this year’s event scheduled for May 15.
