Active shooter training in Newnan

The Newnan Centre, in conjunction with the Newnan Coweta Safety Council and the Newnan Coweta Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a free active shooter seminar Tuesday, Feb. 9, 8:30-11 a.m. The Newnan Centre is at 1515 Lower Fayetteville Road.

Experienced presenters and trainers Lt. Mark Cooper and Inv. Denver Atwood of the Newnan Police Department will lead the training.

The seminar is open to all businesses and citizens who are interested in learning how to best protect themselves in the event an incident should occur.
