The planning committee for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative community program is seeking local vocalists to be part of the MLK Community Choir. The event is Monday, Jan 18, at 11:30 a.m. at Sams Auditorium in Fayetteville.
Two community rehearsals will take place at Flat Rock AME Church, 148 Old Chapel Road in Fayetteville. Those rehearsals are Wednesday and Friday, Jan. 13 and 15, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Directing the MLK Community Choir is Tyrone Jones, musician and organist for Inman United Methodist Church.
Local choir members are encouraged to participate in the program. Those interested or desiring more information can contact Jones at 678-598-7880.
