Officials in Peachtree City released updates Monday on several ongoing projects in the area.
The city and the Georgia Department of Transportation have worked with the contractor constructing the Continuous Green-T on Hwy. 54 West at Line Creek Drive, and the contractor will not be closing any lanes until after the new year, according to a weekly update from the city.
Residents can still expect some delays 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays as this project moves forward.
The contractor works for the developer of the Overlook, and the city required the intersection improvements as part of the development.
All work is performed with the permission of the state DOT, which owns the highway.
In a separate project, NuLink will be installing fiber along Holly Grove Road in the Holly Spring and Lavender Oasis area. Work is expected to begin the first week of January and take two to three weeks.
Spear Road remains closed to through traffic at the bridge and culvert that washed out last month. Work is underway (full culvert replacement) and should be completed by mid-March.
Flat Creek Road will be closed at the bridge by the golf course Saturday, Dec. 19, at 7 a.m. to allow the city’s contractor to make substantial repairs to the bridge decking. The road should reopen no later than the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 23.
