Members of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone packed 13,800 meals on Saturday, Nov. 7, to help “Stop Hunger Now” eradicate hunger around the world. This was the fourth year the church has hosted this huge event. Men, women, and children of all ages came together to help measure and package the food. The meals consisted of rice, dehydrated vegetables, and nutritional supplements. Once the bags were full, they were shipped to Atlanta for distribution overseas. Above (L-R), Logan Powers, Kate Weinhardt, Jacob Estrada, and Meredith Beard all spent part of Saturday helping  pack meals. Photo/Special.
