Landmark swept the Region 5-A cross-country meet last weekend, with the boys and girls teams bringing home impressive victories.
The boys finished with 31 points, far ahead of second-place Paideia’s 56 and third-place Galloway’s 81.
Individually, Austin Taylor and Seth Cruver finished second and third while Daniel Wilson came in seventh. Jack Drury, Micah Burdette and Colton Wooster took the 9-10-11 spots.
Our Lady of Mercy’s boys were fifth with 131 points. Their top runner was Aldahir Barrantes, who finished eighth.
The girls’ scores were similar, with Landmark’s 25 points well ahead of AIS (59) and Paideia (92). Our Lady of Mercy tied with Galloway for fourth (99).
Landmark had five of the top 10 runners, with the 2-3-4 spots going to Nicole Fegans, Kathryn Foreman and Sarah Foreman. Mary Kellison Thorne finished sixth and Lindsey Biggar was tenth. Our Lady of Mercy’s Pauline Cobb came in seventh.
