SMHS students going for world record

The public is invited to come out to Panther Stadium Saturday, Oct. 24, and see what organizers hope will be a new entry in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Jonathan Winkjer’s engineering/technology classes and Tech Club at Starr’s Mill High is assembling a 34,847-foot pipe cleaner chain (more than six miles) using 82,362 pipe cleaners.

Photos will captured by an overhead drone as well as an on-land photographer. TCBY will be served at the event, which is scheduled for 2-3:30 p.m.
