Charles Edison Taylor (“Charlie”) of Tyrone, Ga. passed on October 4, 2015. He was born on May 2, 1938.

He is survived by his wife Ionia Taylor of 47 years; brother, Murrell Taylor, sisters, Betty Dye and Judy Nichols; son, Dwayne Taylor, son and spouse, James (Jamie) and Nicole Taylor, and daughter Tracey Taylor Willis; grandson Caulin Brent Taylor, granddaughter, Kaylin Willis, and grandson Preston Willis.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Easter Lee Taylor of Aberdeen, Miss.; sister Peggy J. Carson, son, Kenny Taylor, and granddaughter, Madeline Nicole Taylor.

He served in the United States Air Force and National Guard. He was a 20 year employee for Owens Corning Fiberglass, Fairburn, as an industrial mechanic. He was a talented handyman, loved fishing and enjoyed the outdoors.

“I’ve lived a life that’s full, regrets I’ve had few; I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried; to think I did all that; and did it my way.”

The family will receive friends and guests on Friday October 9, 6-8 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, Ga. Online condolences can be made at www.parrottfuneralhome.com.
