The Fayette County Parks & Recreation Department is hosting an evening of pickleball Sunday, Oct. 11, 6-8 p.m. at the Kiwanis Park courts, 980 Redwine Road in Fayetteville.

Local residents are invited to come and learn to play one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Bring a chair and some water so you can play or just enjoy the evening.

Pickleball can be played easily by all ages and both genders. It is a cross between tennis, badminton and table tennis. It can be played indoors or outdoors.

Kiwanis Park has two outdoor courts, and equipment will be provided for this free event. Instructors will give free demonstrations and lessons.

To RSVP or for more information, contact Kenny Wallace ([email protected]) or Harold Tenbrink ([email protected]).
