Dean Breest of Fayetteville photographed the historic Old Hopeful Church in north Fayette County Friday morning on the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 al Qaeda attacks on America. He reports: “Cars have pulled off the road here this morning. A lady walked in the church and when she walked out with tears I asked if everything was OK? She said, ‘I just wanted to say a prayer.’” Breest has been involved with the restoration of Hopeful, one of the oldest churches in Fayette County.
