I’m Shayne Robinson and I’m running for Post 1 in the November city election.
My family and I have lived in Peachtree City for 16 years, and been actively involved in the community for 15 years. My passion is BMX and I have been very involved with all aspects of BMX management, partnering with the Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Services.
BMX spans all age groups and I continually interact with young families, promoting the youth BMX sports program and the best that Peachtree City has to offer. It was my passion and dedication to youth sports programs that motivated me to volunteer 8 years ago to apply for a position on the Recreation and Special Events Advisory Board where I served for 7 years, 3 years as their chairman.
As chairman, I was a member on the Conventions and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. My positions on those boards enabled me to interact with city staff and council on a vast array of issues. My experience on those boards has provided me a unique insight into city government policies, procedures and partnerships.
Running for city council marks a natural progression in my public and community service aspirations. I bring a balanced mindset to the table, and great experience in working on boards with the pertinent people to get the best accomplished for our city. My goal is to make sure we continue to protect our investment and the brand of Peachtree City so that our children can be proud to have a place “to call home.
I am excited to meet you all out and about in Peachtree City. Your opinions, concerns and priorities matter to me. Please feel free to call me on my cell 678-770-1750 or email me at pinkbmxsox@aol.com.
Yours in service,
Shayne Robinson
