COS kicks off new program year

Christ Our Shepherd invites all to age-defined activities to kick off the program year on Aug. 26.

“Music and  The Master” meets Wednesdays from  4:30-5:30 p.m. Children in first through fifth grades ring handbells, play Choir Chimes, learn music fundamentals and singing technique, and memorize anthems in preparation for leading worship services.

Musicals in December and May offer experiences in acting and staging.

Director of Children and Family Ministries Ellen Pfundt and Minister in Music David Beecher work together to, in their words, “Make Wednesday afternoons fun, exciting, and rich in learning.”

The program for four and five-year-olds is sKIDdles; it meets from 5 -5:30 p.m.

Logos is the Middle-School ministry at Christ Our Shepherd, led by Melissa Jacobson.

High-School ministry is Living Our Faith Together (L.O.F.T.). Both celebrate the new program year with a “beach party” On Aug. 26. All will come dressed for water sports at 6 p.m. and spend two hours enjoying slides, inflatables, music, and food. The cost is $15. For more information, call 770-487-8717.
