Several local churches will start GriefShare sessions this month, offering free group grief counseling for those who have lost loved ones, either recently or in the past.
The loss of a dear friend or family member is one of life’s most difficult experiences. The sessions give participants access to resources to help cope with that loss and to start rebuilding their lives.
Dogwood Church, 975 Ga. Highway 74 N. in Tyrone, will offer a 13-week GriefShare support group on Wednesday evenings beginning Aug. 19, from 7 -9 p.m. The group will meet in the Atrium area of the church office.

Fayetteville First Baptist Church will host GriefShare for 13 weeks starting Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in room A – 101. The church is in downtown Fayetteville.For more information call Mary Ellen, 770-461-8378.
Holy Trinity Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd., Peachtree City, will offer a morning and evening GriefShare session each week for 13 weeks beginning Wednesday evening, Aug. 12 and Friday morning, Aug. 14.
Evening sessions will run from 7-9 p.m. and morning sessions will run from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
The group will meet in room #102 at the church on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Walk Banks Rd..
