Back to School bash is Aug. 1

Peachtree City Recreation and Special Events will host a Back to School Bash Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Glenloch Recreation Center (601 Stevens Entry).

This free event kicks off at 6 p.m. and will feature free open swim in the Glenloch pool, slot car racing, a rock climbing wall, inflatables, face painting, balloon sculptures, music, and more.

Fitness, martial arts, and dance demonstrations will be offered, and food from Johnny’s Pizza and TCBY will be available for purchase.

When the sun sets, families are invited to have a seat on the lawn and enjoy Disney’s “Big Hero 6” on a giant outdoor screen.

The Great Georgia Air Show is the presenting sponsor of the Back to School Bash, and supporting sponsors include Atlanta Trek, Eventsouth Rentals, GymGuyz, Minuteman Press, Mosquito Authority, SpeedZone, United Pool Management, and Webb & Taylor.
