More than 25 people took to the path at Newnan Utilities Carl Miller Park July 25 for Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s Walk with a Doc, led by Ashish Dhungel, M.D., nephrologist at The Kidney Clinic.
Despite it being a hot, sticky morning, officials were pleased with the turnout and many were interested in learning from the host doctor.
Dr. Dhungel talked about normal kidney function, importance of avoiding sugar, and signs of kidney problems. Along the walk and immediately following, Dr. Dhungel answered questions from the crowd.
Piedmont’s Walk with a Doc series is held the fourth Saturday of each month through September. The next walk will be Saturday, August 22.
