The Fayette County Board of Elections announced that it has cancelled its regular meeting, which was scheduled for July 28.

The board convened last week in a special meeting to call for a special election to fill the Board of Commissioners seat left vacant by Pota Coston’s July 3 death.

Regular meetings of the election board are held in its office, Suite 208 of the county’s administrative complex, 140 Stonewall Avenue in Fayetteville.
