The Fayette County Extension Office has declared its first Spring Symposium a success.
The Kiwanis Center was filled with people attending classes and tables manned by volunteers providing information. The program’s speakers – Audrey Harrelson, Mark Banta, Larry Dove and Kim Toal – focused on birds, plants, organic vegetables, etc., in the county.
A total of 17 door prizes were awarded throughout the day. They were donated by various individuals and local businesses affiliated with extension volunteers.
The Fall Plant Sale has been tentatively scheduled for Sept. 12 and planning is already underway for the 2016 Spring Symposium.
