The school year and the years of high school have ended for Coweta County’s graduating seniors. With that, practically the only thing left is graduation.
This year’s high school graduation ceremonies will be held over three separate days at Coweta County School System’s three high schools:
•Thursday, May 21 – Newnan High School Graduation, Drake Stadium, 7:30 p.m.

Salutatorian – Isabella Rose Plonk
•Friday, May 22 – Northgate High School Graduation, Henry Seldon Field, 7:30 p.m.
Valedictorian – Haley Ann Alain
Salutatorian – Connie Michelle Hauser
•Saturday, May 23 – East Coweta High School Graduation, Shoemake Stadium, 9 a.m.
Valedictorian – Stacie Elaine Evans
Salutatorian – Sangkyun “Sonny” Byun
School system spokesman Dean Jackson said many high school seniors will attend traditional Baccalaureate Services on May 17. East Coweta High School Baccalaureate will be held at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts, Newnan High School Baccalaureate will be held at First Baptist Church in Newnan and Northgate High Baccalaureate will be held at Crossroads Church.
The Central Educational Center’s Dual-Enrollment Graduation recognitions will be held at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts on Wednesday, May 20 at 7 p.m..
For East Coweta High School’s Saturday morning graduation ceremonies, the school is offering the use of buses to transport people to and from off-site parking and Shoemake Stadium. Shuttle bus service will be offered from Lee Middle School, Willis Road Elementary School, and Poplar Road Elementary School on May 23. People attending graduation can park at these sites and ride buses to the campus starting at 7 a.m., and buses will continue until all participants are back at their cars. The parking sites will be staffed with deputies for security purposes and volunteers that will assist with parking vehicles, Jackson said.
