James Haymans becomes president of retired teachers’ group

Fayette County Resident James Haymans will be installed as the 2015-2016 president of the Georgia Retired Educators Association Thursday, April 30,
during the group’s annual convention Association.

The GREA has a membership of over 25,000.

A member of Fayette County Retired Educators Association (FCREA), Haymans served as local unit president, local unit treasurer, and GREA Area X director, which covers eight counties.

During the 2014-2015 membership year, Haymans served as president-elect of GREA.

Immediately following his installation, Haymans will be attending the grand opening of the Georgia Education Museum (GEM) located in Flowery Branch.
