Knowing that patriotic Americans would never celebrate the birthday of the founder of the Soviet Union, shrewd anti-American politicians (namely, Democrat Senator Gaylord Nelson and college professor Paul Ehrlich) chose to celebrate Lenin’s 100th birthday on April 22, 1970, by calling it “Earth Day.”
Inspired by Ehrlich’s 1968 book, “Population Bomb,” Nelson selected campus anti-war and left-wing activist Denis Hayes to organize the first “Earth Day,” directing the anti-war passion into environmental tyranny.
Matthew 7:15 warns of false prophets “who come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” The list of false predictions from the environmental anti-Americans prophets are legion. A few examples:
In 1923, there was concern about a new ice age. In 1926, a Berlin astronomer was predicting global cooling.
In 1968, Ehrlich predicted, “In the 1970s and 1980s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now.” He compared humanity to a cancer, and recommended reducing the growth rate to zero or negative.
In 1970, Ehrlich predicted that within ten years all animal and sea life would be extinct.
On Jan. 11, 1970, the Washington Post reported that “Colder Winters Herald the Coming of a New Ice Age.”
On June 30, 1989, the climate terrorists predicted that by the year 2000 “entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth.”
In 1996, Brent Belchem predicted that by the year 2000 the Arctic Ocean would be ice free; the Platt River was predicted to be dry by 1996.
In March 2000, climate terrorists predicted that “snowfall would become a very rare and exciting event — children just aren’t going to know what snow is”.
Al Gore said the North Pole would be ice free in the summer of 2013 because of man-made global warming. (It has expanded more than 50 percent over 2012 levels).
Of 117 of the Left’s wild claims, 114 or 97.4 percent of them are wrong. The average “mistake” was an overstatement of global warming by double actual reality.
The sole purpose of the environmental movement is the destruction of the capitalist, free enterprise system, a movement originated by Karl Marx 50 years before Vladimir Lenin successfully implemented the “green agenda.”
In spite of all the lies, politicians and radical environmentalists continue to reap huge amounts of U.S. tax dollars in salaries, grants and benefits while the United States slowly disintegrates.
Brian Sussman, in his new book, “Eco Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda will Dismantle America,” states “socialism’s green flag (has achieved) great success with (its) devious agenda … even in America.”
On April 22, the entire country will join in socialism’s celebration.
