Chiefs win first track meet of season

The McIntosh Chiefs track team took first place overall in the boys and girls categories Feb. 21 at its first meet of the 2015 season, the Marietta Distance Carnival.

Top finishes in individual events include:

First place, girls 800 (Alyssa LeClaire).

First place, boys 4×800 (Nathan Stembridge, Jackson Routon, Connor Koscevic, Justin Brown).

Second place, girls 4×1600 (Tarna Zander-Velloso, Brianna Sattinger, Rachel Ward, Alyssa LeClaire).

Second place, girls 4×800.

Second place, girls distance medley relay (Caroline Baynes, Carson Silbert, Taylor Snell, Nicole Zaubi).

Second place, boys 4×400 (Ethan Watson, Jacobi Sandifer, Justin Brown, Khadim Jones).

Third place, girls 800 (Tarna Zander-Velloso).

Third place, girls 4×400 (Ngozi Chukwueke, Nadia Coleman, McKenzie Warren, Morgan Fredrick).

Third place, boys 3200 (Josh Bowers).

Fourth place, boys 1600 (Alan Bowers).
