Kathryn Tacy, a student at Wofford College and a Fayetteville native, is studying in Greece for the month of January.

A Wofford study program permits students and professors to concentrate for the month of January on a single study project of their choosing.

Their projects are designed to move beyond traditional classroom courses and teaching methods, to consider important topics in relevant ways and places, to observe issues in action, to develop capacities for independent learning, and to encourage the responsible self-direction of educational development.

Wofford College, which is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, is an independent liberal arts college of 1,650 students in Spartanburg, SC. Wofford ranks 4th nationally in the percentage of undergraduates receiving credit for study abroad.
