A surprise visitor came to Wednesday’s luncheon at the Coweta County Senior Center in Senoia.
“I never saw a room with so many 29-year-olds,” said Santa, as he entered the Senior Center.
There were lots of smiles and candy canes as Santa visited each table.
Later, seniors and guests had the opportunity to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
Some requests included a brand new Corvette with gas, “a happy Christmas for all my family,” and even an Easy-Bake Oven.
Doing the honors as Santa was Tony Bell.
Bell is an active member of the Senoia Optimists Club and the Senoia Area Historical Society.
Activities are held each Wednesday at the East Coweta Senior Center sponsored by Coweta County.
The first Wednesday is a covered dish luncheon at 11:30 a.m., followed by a program. The other Wednesdays meet at 1 p.m. with alternating activities of bingo, crafts and more. Refreshments are served and everyone is invited.
