Advent services start tonight
Word of God Lutheran Church in Peachtree City begins its weekly Advent services tonight ,Wednesday, Dec. 3. A soup supper begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by a table talk devotion. Services are scheduled for Dec. 3, 10, and 17 and are held in the church sanctuary at 303 Kelly Dr., Suite 10, Peachtree City.
Woolsey to present Christmas Joy
“Christmas Joy” will be presented by the Woolsey Baptist Church choir, children and drama team on Sunday evening, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. The public is invited to come hear the message in song celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Donations accepted at Nativity Festival
Donations for the Eagle Scout Service Project of Nick Austin benefiting Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic will be accepted at the LDS Church’s Festival of the Nativity Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13 from 6-9 p.m. (both days) and during the Senior Tour on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. The clinic needs copy paper, clorox wipes, and lysol spray.The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is at 101 South Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City.
Wind ensemble to present concert
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 700 Ardenlee Parkway, Peachtree City, will host a concert, “Music to Celebrate Christmas,” presented by The Peachtree Wind Ensemble, Saturday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. Admission is free. The Peachtree Wind Ensemble is a non-profit community band with volunteer members from Fayette County and the surrounding areas. Fayette Bible Church offers a free Marriage Replenishment Class every other Wednesday at 7 p.m.. Holy Trinity offers Stephen Ministry
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City offers Stephen Ministry to provide confidential, one-on-one Christian care to people who are going through a difficult time. Catholics as well as non Catholics are eligible to receive care. A Stephen Minister is a well-trained caregiver who listens, cares, prays, and encourages during a time of need. Genealogy classes offered Tuesdays
The LDS Church’s Fayetteville Family History lab offers free family history sessions on various topics and areas of research each Tuesday evening from 7 – 8:30 p.m. The class meets at 2021 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. ESL classes meet every Friday
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults meet weekly through May 15, 2015 at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA. Classes are free and students can join any time.
