Providence United Methodist Church invites the community to a special worship service, called “Hanging of the Greens,”this Sunday, Nov. 30, at 10:30 a.m.
Providence Senior Pastor Diane Parrish explains,”Hanging of the Greens is a worship service for the whole family where we explain the significance of Christian symbols like the Christmas tree, wreaths, colors of the Christian year and poinsettias, as we start the Advent season. We will have only one worship service that morning, at 10:30 a.m. “
Providence members will bring in the symbols as they are explained and the sanctuary will be decorated during the service.
Free childcare for children four years old and under is provided in the Children’s Building beginning at 9:30 a.m. The cafe will be open for free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There will be no adult, teen or children’s Sunday school classes that day.
