The congregation of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone recently donated 356 pairs of underwear to The Real Life Center for those in need.

The underwear was collected during “Undie Sundays” this summer. The congregation collected underwear for men, women, and children and Hopewell Methodist Women repackaged the donations, three to a bag, for the Real Life Center to distribute to their clients in need.

Real Life Center volunteer coordinator Vicki Troyer said, “Thanks for bringing the undies this week. The clothing closet manager was so excited to see them and told me we were currently completely out of girls sizes — perfect timing.”

“This is just one of the many ways that Hopewell strives to help the community.,” a spokesperson said. “If you’d like to be part of a church where mission really matters, contact the church, 770-306-7537.”

Hopewell is located at 351 Jenkins Rd. directly across from Sandy Creek High.
