Peachtree City Optimist Club President, Terry Ernst presented a donation check to Kim Doolittle of Joey’s Toy Box.
The Peachtree City Optimist Club and Optimist International have a Childhood Cancer Fund to support childhood cancer research and families in our community that have children battling childhood cancer.
Joey’s Toy Box has provided thousands of toys and support for the brave kids and their families as they endure their medical procedures. Kim’s son Joey lost his battle with cancer in July 2008 but he wanted to make sure there were toys in the toy closet at the hospitals for other children undergoing treatment.
It was through these concerns that Joey’s Toy Box was born.
The Optimist Club is happy to be a part of Joey’s mission to provide comfort and support to the “kids like him” and their families.
