Lorraine Harvey passed away on June 12, 2014 at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Ga.

Lorraine was born on July 18, 1928 in Queens, N.Y. to Muriel and James Brzezinski. She had one brother, Donald Brzezinski (deceased); and one sister, Carol Harrison.

At 13 she met the love of her life, Harold Harvey and they married when she was 19. Lorraine worked for Lufthansa Airlines and together they enjoyed traveling around the world. They were married for 57 years before his passing in 2005.

Church and family were the most important parts of Lorraine’s life. She served the Lord as a member, and later as the head of the Altar Guild at The Church of the Transfiguration on Long Island, N.Y., Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Peachtree City, Ga. and All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City, Ga.

Lorraine and Harold had 3 children, Linda (deceased), Douglas, and Lorrie. She taught her children by living her life with strength and love that came from her faith, generosity, compassion, honesty, and humor.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Douglas Harvey, and his wife, Elissa; granddaughters, Laura Davis and her husband, Tyler; granddaughter, Andrea Harvey; daughter, Lorrie and her husband, Ed Abrams; grandsons, Ryan Abrams and Douglas Abrams; granddaughters, Kimberly Barber and Kelly Abrams; and great-grandson, Parker.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City. The Reverend Michael Fry and The Reverend Ray Greiner will officiate.
