COS changes worship schedule
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City has announced a change in the worship schedule for the summer. Contemporary worship in the Fellowship Hall will now take place at 9:45 a.m. Traditional services remain unchanged -— Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

MRBC youth to host yard sale
The student ministry of McDonough Road Baptist Church, Fayetteville, will host a yard sale on the front lawn of the church on Friday and Saturday, May 30-31, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Proceeds go to help with expenses of the upcoming summer youth beach retreat. Hot dogs and drinks also will be on sale. The church is located at 352 McDonough Road, just past the department of drivers services building.

Registration open for VBS at COS
Online registration for Vacation Bible School at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City is now open at www.coslutheran.org/vbs. “Weird Animals: Where Jesus’s Love is One-of-a-Kind” is the theme; June 23-27 are the dates. A  $10 donation per child is requested, and may be given online. For more information, call 770-487-8717. All are welcome. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

Providence opens VBS registration
Providence United Methodist Church will host “Weird Animals” VBS June 9-13 from 9 a.m.-noon. There is no charge for VBS. Parents can register children who  are entering kindergarten through fifth grade by downloading forms at provumc.com or coming by the church. T-shirts and VBS music CDs can be purchased for $5 each. St. Paul Lutheran plans VBS
Vacation Bible School at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, 700 Ardenlee Parkway, Peachtree City,  will be June 9-13, from 9 a.m. – noon and is free of cost to all three year olds through rising fifth graders. Those who are entering middle school are welcome to be involved  through volunteer assistance. This year’s theme is “Weird Animals, Where Jesus’s Love is One-of-a-Kind. “ Register at www.stpaulptc.org/2014-vbs.

Evergreen Church plans VBS July 28
Evergreen Church of Peachtree City invites children entering kindergarten through sixth grade to attend “SonTreasure Island VBS” July 28-Aug 1 from 9 a.m. – noon each day at 225 S. Peachtree Parkway.  For more information visit www.evergreenchurchga.org.

PTCUMC OFFERS GriefShare
 GriefShare sessions at Peachtree City United Methodist Church are offered several times a year and are open to anyone in the community grieving the loss of a friend or loved one,  and/or those who who need to connect with others going through the same journey. The sessions are on Thursdays from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Robinson Road Campus in Room 308. The program is Christ-centered and uses a video, workbook, and open discussion format. A minimal fee covers the cost of the workbook; scholarships are available. For information, contact the church office,  770-487-6499.

Prayer group meets at Summit
A community prayer group meets at The Summit Family Resource Center, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 S. Fayetteville, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday mornings.  This is an inter-denominational event. Everyone is invited. Call 770-460-3335 for more information.

Word of Life FMC offers relationship class
Word of Life Free Methodist Church in Fayetteville offers Relationships 101 classes each third Friday of the month from 7-9 p.m.  The church is at 405 Fayette Place, Fayetteville, behind the Dairy Queen in the Harvest Community Shopping Center, in front of the Wings and Things Restaurant.

Divorce Care meets at PTCUMC
Divorce Care, for those going through, or those who recently experienced, a divorce, meets in 14-week sessions from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings at the Robinson Road Campus of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church.
