A south Fayette County man was arrested April 16 after a family arrived at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of family violence.
William K. McAbee, 50, was charged with aggravated battery, according to jail records.
Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies on April 16 received a complaint of family violence when a member of McAbee’s family came to the sheriff’s office to report that the relative’s ribs had been fractured in the attack by McAbee.
McAbee allegedly attacked his family member after an argument, Babb said.
Babb said deputies were familiar with the address where the incident occurred as they responded to a disturbance earlier in the day involving McAbee’s employer coming to his home.
After EMS responded to the sheriff’s office to treat the victim, deputies located McAbee at his home. He was charged with aggravated battery-family violence and transported to the Fayette County Jail, Babb said.
