The Friends of the Peachtree City Library annual poetry workshop is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 10:00 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m. at the library. The workshop will be presented by Dr. Brigitte Byrd, who teaches creative writing, contemporary literature, and multicultural literature at both the graduate and undergraduate levels at Clayton State University. She is the author of ”Fence above the Sea,” “Song of a Living Room” and ”The Dazzling Land.” Her work has appeared in anthologies including ”Shade 2006,” “Like Thunder,” ”American Diaspora” and others.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Please print legibly your name, email, mailing address, and phone number and put that in an envelope with a check for $15 to help reimburse expenses and pay for a working lunch. Checks should be payable to “Friends of the Library.” You may leave your envelope at the library or mail it to Friends of the Library, 201 Willow Bend Drive, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269. You will be notified by email of your status (accepted/wait-listed).
