The first step in organizing any successful venture is proper planning. And it’s never too early to plan, especially when your key objective is to raise funds to provide free services to Georgia families affected by Alzheimer’s Disease.
Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the country. Over 200,000 Georgia citizens have this memory altering disease.
The kickoff meeting, hosted by Sue Shaffer, Chair for the 2014 Southern Crescent Walk To End Alzheimer’s, was recently held to establish goals and assign duties for the 15th Annual Walk being held on October 4 in Peachtree City. The greatest need: volunteers!
A “Call For Volunteers” meeting is at 10 a.m., March 15 at McIntosh Place, 191 McIntosh Trail, in Peachtree City, near the Senior Services Gathering Place.
If you are interested in giving back to your community by helping with the Walk organization or wish to form a team to solicit donations, please come to the meeting.
