A 30-year-old Fayetteville resident was struck by a vehicle on Feb. 10 while in the roadway on Banks Road in Fayetteville.
Frances Amber Bounds was struck on Feb. 10 at approximately 6:50 p.m., according to Sheriff Barry Babb. She was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, Babb added.
Sheriff’s traffic investigators went to Banks Road near Ellis Road after a call about a pedestrian struck on Banks Road by a vehicle traveling eastbound, said Babb.
Deputies at the time of the incident were in the area looking for a female matching the description of the female struck by the car, said Babb.
Bounds is believed to be suspect in a prowling case in a nearby subdivision, Babb said.
Babb said the incident occurred before the winter storm and weather is not believed to have played a role.
Babb said no charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
