The community is invited to join Soaring Eagles Home School Co-op for a rare opportunity to see the creation vs. evolution debate between Ken Ham and Bill Nye via live simulcast on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church. Doors will open at 6 p.m.with the simulcast beginning promptly at 7 p.m. Seats are first come, first served. The event is free.

Concessions will be available for purchase until 7 p.m.

The sold-out live event is being held in the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum near Cincinnati.

Ken Ham is the founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis (AiG); Nye was the popular host of the children’s TV show, “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” which was produced by Disney during the 1990s.

The debate will focus on the question, “Is creation a viable model of origins in today’s modern scientific era?”

Ham challenged Nye to the debate after Nye criticized parents/educators for “… teaching ideas contrary to evolutionary theory” saying that it “is damaging to both children and society.”

The community is invited to attend the free event at Providence.

Providence is located at 592 Bernhard Road in southern Fayette County. Soaring Eagles meets there each week. For questions and information, contact Leah Dodson, director of Soaring Eagles, at knldodson@comast.net or visit soaring-eagles.net.
