PTC Fire Chief a ‘silent hero’

Acting Peachtree City Fire Chief Joe O’Conor (L) was presented with the Silent Hero Award from the Ronnie Thames Foundation at a recent event. O’Conor was nominated by a member of the fire service who lauded him for helping provide strong leadership and helping improve morale inside the department while he simultaneously improved the department’s external relations. The award was presented by the Ronnie Thames Foundation to recognize firefighters who have performed outstanding services in Fayette County, Peachtree City and Fayetteville.
