Mr. and Mrs. James L. Christopher of Cumming, Ga. and Mrs. Cheryl Christopher of Waycross, Ga. announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Christopher Gourley to Stephen R. Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen R. Cox of Fayetteville, Ga.
Miss Gourley is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James R. Christopher of Roswell, Ga. and the late J. A. Wright and Mrs. Shirley Wright of Waycross, Ga.
Mr. Cox is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Cox of Orlando, Fla. and the late Mr. William E. Taylor III of Orlando, Fla. and the late Mrs. Ellen D. Taylor of Newnan, Ga.
Miss Gourley is a graduate of Ware County High School in Waycross, Ga. and graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Special Education, a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership. She is currently employed by Colquitt County Board of Education in Moultrie, Ga. as a Special Education teacher. Mr. Cox is a graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Ga. He graduated from Clayton College and State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Marketing and from Grand Canyon University with a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology and Curriculum. He is currently employed by Thomas University in Thomasville, Ga. as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.
After a December 22 wedding on board Carnival Cruise Lines’ ship Sensation, the couple will reside in Thomasville, Ga.
