The qualifying period for the Post 3 and 4 seats of the Tyrone Town Council will be held next week. Voting in the November election is at-large.
Post 3 Councilman Ken Matthews and Post 4 Councilwoman Gloria Furr said they will be seeking re-election.
The qualifying period will run from Monday, Aug. 26 through Wednesday, Aug. 30. from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The qualifying fee is $144.
Qualifying requires continuous residence in the town for the past 12 months.
The deadline for registration for the November election is Oct. 7.
