New Hope UMC’s revival starts tonight
New Hope United Methodist Church will hold its Summer Revival Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 14-16, at 7:30 p.m.   The host pastor is the Rev. Aubrey Thompson.  The guest revivalists are the Rev. Gabriel Stovall of Forest Chapel Baptist Church on Wednesday, Bishop Keith Anderson of Walking to Your Destiny Ministries on Thursday, and the Rev. Milton Reeves of Rising Star Baptist Church on Friday.  New Hope is in the Inman area of Fayette County at 272 Weldon Road, Fayetteville.

Parenting classes start Aug. 14 at NHBC
National Heights Baptist Church, in conjunction with the United Methodist Children’s Home, will be offering Active Parenting Courses on Wednesdays  Aug. 14-Sept. 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Registration is required.  The cost is $15 for class materials. RSVP to Bonita at 404-327-5860 or [email protected].  Plan to arrive at 6 p.m. for the first class to fill out paperwork.  A light snack is served, and a certificate of completion is provided to those who complete the class.  Free childcare will be provided by the children’s ministry volunteers at National Heights. Revival begins tonight at TLCM
True Love Christian Ministries will hold a revival this Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 14-16 at 7 p.m.  The host pastor is Elder Nathaniel Livingston. The revivalists will be the Rev. Milton Reeves of Rising Star Baptist Church on Wednesday, the Reverend Doctor Eric M. Gurley of Flint Ridge Baptist Church on Thursday, and the Reverend Melvin Ware of Mount Olive Baptist Church on Friday. True Love is at 192 Graves Road, Fayetteville.

The Stanleys to appear at Sandy Creek
Joe and Kim Stanley will be in concert at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Sunday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. For over 25 years, the  Stanleys have been using their gift of music to lead people in worship. As music evangelists, the focus of their ministry is lifting up the Name of Jesus Christ through praise and worship. Sandy Creek Baptist Church is at 1082 Sandy Creek Road Fayetteville. Dogwood to offer GriefShare
Dogwood Church, 975 Ga. Hwy.  74 South in Tyrone, will offer a GriefShare support group on Wednesday evenings beginning Aug. 21, from 7-8:30 p.m.  The group  will meet in the Atrium area of the Church Office. The 13-week program is led by people who understand what grieving people are going through and want to help. The program will also provide access to valuable GriefShare resources to help one recover from their loss and look forward to rebuilding their life. GriefShare starts Aug. 21, 23 at Holy Trinity
GriefShare is being offered at Holy Trinity Church at 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City.  GriefShare is a 13 week Christian grief recovery group for those who have lost a loved one. Each session is self-contained so one can begin attending at any time. The Wednesday evening group begins on Aug. 21 and runs from 7-9 p.m.  The Friday morning group begins on Aug. 23 and meets from  9:30-11:30 a.m. The meetings are held in room #103 in the Faith Formation Building. CDM to host Next Level Living meeting
Christ Discipleship Ministries will host a Next Level Living meeting on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m. at CDM in Fairburn. ESL classes begin at Carriage Lane
Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for adults begin Friday, Sept. 6, and meet weekly through May 16, 2014 at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA,  in Peachtree City.  Students can join at any time.  Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Childcare is provided.
