Jack Roy, 86, of Peachtree City, born in Omaha, Neb., passed away August 10. 2013.
Jack was the cherished husband for 64 years of his wife, Barbara.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Roy and his wife, Janet and their children Avery and Devon Roy and daughter Carolyn.
Everyone loved Jack and he loved people, Christ, his family, his church and his country. In Peachtree City, Jack and Barbara knew they had come to the right place as here; people live their religion every day.
As a boy of fourteen, Jack so loved golf, he would load up his bike with his clubs and cross town to play and caddy. Right out of college, Jack was hired by IBM where he was in sales and management for 19 years. Jack was a life-long Nebraska Cornhusker’s fan. As a volunteer, Jack shared his business experience with the Small Business Administration in Atlanta. For years he also drove to Atlanta to serve in a church soup kitchen.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Dr. Jerry Cross will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
