COS will bless backpacks
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will bless backpacks for students and teachers the next two weekends, Aug. 3 and 4 and Aug. 10 and 11, Each child will receive a book-bag tag. There are now four services each weekend. The new schedule is: Saturday 7 p.m.; Sunday 8:30, 10:50, and 11 a.m. COS is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway.
Youth group cleans up at OM
The youth group from Rolling Hills Baptist Church conducted a “Monday Mission” at the campus of Operation Mobilization in Tyrone last week, cleaning up several residential areas that were in need of weeding, raking, and general clean up. Monday Missions is a youth program conducted annually by Rolling Hills during school summer vacation. Senior pastor Frank Mercer says, “Monday Missions is an opportunity to put “Monday feet” to Sunday’s words.” Rolling Hills worships on Sunday mornings at the NCG Cinemas at Fischer Crossings in Sharpsburg. Jewish religious classes start Aug. 11
Congregation B’nai Israel, the Reform synagogue of Fayetteville, will begin religious school classes Aug. 11. Classes include Torah Tots ages three to five as well as classes for students through high school, and Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation. Call the main office, 678-817-7162, with any questions.
COS starts Lucado, Frazee Bible study

Parenting classes start Aug. 14 at NHBC
National Heights Baptist Church, in conjunction with the United Methodist Children’s Home, will offer Active Parenting Courses on Wednesdays Aug. 14-Sept. 18 from 6:30 8:30 p.m. Registration is required. A light snack is served, and a certificate of completion is provided to those who complete the class. Free childcare will be provided by the children’s ministry volunteers at National Heights. GriefShare starts Aug. 21, 23 at Holy Trinity
GriefShare is being offered at Holy Trinity Church at 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City. GriefShare is a 13-week Christian grief recovery group for those who have lost a loved one. Each session is self-contained so one can begin attending at any time. The Wednesday evening group begins on Aug. 21 and runs from 7-9 p.m. The Friday morning group begins on Aug. 23 and meets from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The meetings are held in room #103 in the Faith Formation Building. Heritage to offer two Divorce Care groups
