• Dr. David S. Wood, senior vice president of academic affairs and dean of Wofford College, has announced the Dean’s List students for the Spring 2013 Semester, including Kathryn Renee Tacy of Fayetteville and Stacey Maguire Mangan of Fayetteville.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
• Air National Guard Airman Timothy T. Taylor graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Taylor is the son of Tawhana Taylor of Lakeside Way, Newnan. He is a 2009 graduate of Whitewater High School.
• Army Pfc. Jason L. Gilbert has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
Gilbert is the son of Dolly Wurst and stepson of Dallas Wurst, both of Haven Ridge, Peachtree City.
He is a 2002 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School.
• Dr. Randall Peters, President of Southern Crescent Technical College, is pleased to announce the Spring Semester 2013 President’s List.
In order to obtain this distinction, a student must be enrolled full time and maintain a perfect grade point average of 4.0.

• The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, has honored the following Dean’s List students for academic excellence during the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.
Dean’s List recognition is given to those students registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade point ratio is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester’s work.

• The following residents are among more than 1,000 Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the spring 2013 semester. Aundrey Flewellen, a sophomore economics major of Fayetteville, Mattie Parten, a senior early childhood education major of Peachtree City.
The dean’s list is published each semester by Dr. Larry Long, university provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

• Niles Lynward Goodfellow was recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
During the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year, Goodfellow earned one of the college’s top academic honors – a Gold Star.
Gold Star honors are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semester’s course work. Students that achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on The Citadel’s Dean’s List.
While at The Citadel, Goodfellow was a member of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets and seeking a BS in Business Administration.
