Peachtree City police are now investigating a second convenience store robbery within 24 hours.
This time, the Pit Stop on Petrol Point at Ga. Highway 54 was struck around 8:15 p.m. In the latest crime, the offender was described as “a white male, approximately six feet tall, medium build, scruffy facial hair… last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.”
On Saturday evening the Flash Foods store on Crosstown Drive was robbed, police said. There is no information as to whether the two incidents may be linked.

On June 30th, 2013 at approximately 8:15pm, officers responded to an armed robbery report at Pit Stop, 100 Petrol Point, Peachtree City, GA. A preliminary investigation has revealed that the offender entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The offender is described as: a white male, approximately six feet tall, medium build, scruffy facial hair. The offender was last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The offender fled the scene on foot and was last seen in the area of Eastbrook Bend.
Officer are currently in the area searching with K-9 teams. The public is strongly encouraged to report anyone matching the description of the offender in the area by calling 911 immediately.
